Stocksbridge is a significant and growing population centre in great need of the good news of Jesus Christ. We believe the mission of the church is to go and make disciples in every place and that Stocksbridge will benefit hugely from this church plant. We also believe that this particular building, given its location and potential, needs to be retained and reopened as a key resource for reaching the town.  For more on this, download or order the Back to Life booklet through the discover page.

The Diocese of Sheffield will appoint a curate to Oughtibridge Parish Church who will form a planting team during the curacy and lead the plant to St Matthias at the end of their curacy.  This curate has not yet been appointed, but we hope they will be during 2023.

Whatever you are able to give, we want to sincerely thank you!  As you consider this, please bear in mind that this vision will only become a reality if people are moved to give generously to it.

Yes and please do gift aid your donation if you’re able to.  For every £1 you give we’ll be able to claim back an additional 25p, so it makes a huge difference.  When you complete the donate form you’ll be given the opportunity to indicate that you would like us to claim gift aid against your donation.

In that situation the Charity Commission would require us to declare this a ‘failed campaign’ and we would return all donations.  That is why we collect the contact details of all donors, so that we can return donations if necessary.
